Volunteering at CCHS
Are you looking to make a difference to a child through education? Are you looking to make new friends? Are you looking to learn new skills or boost your resume? Then the Carver County Historical Society may be just what you are looking for. We offer long and short term projects and the chance to work as much or as little as you would like.
Thank you so much for your interest in volunteer opportunities at the Carver County Historical Society. We are very committed to sharing the museum with volunteers who want to help us with our mission “to collect, preserve, and interpret the history of Carver County.”
We consider our volunteers to be a major resource and we are happy that you are interested in sharing some of your time and talent with us. CCHS staff works with individuals to help find the volunteer placement that is right for them. Our goals are to ensure that volunteers look forward to coming to the museum and that they have fun while making significant contributions to our programs.
If you are an active volunteer at the Society, help keep our information current. Let us know about any changes of address, telephone number, e-mail, emergency contact or employer.
Seeking a Spring/Summer Education Intern!
Do you know any high-school or college students in museum, history, or education programs? Are they looking for a summer internship? The CCHS education department is seeking a programs intern to help write programs, lead summer camps, and plan cooperative programs with our partner organizations.
Contact Miles Jewell at (952) 442-4234 or firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
Volunteers help make history come alive by doing everything from greeting visitors to the museum to helping individuals with genealogical research in the library and assisting families during special events. Click on an opportunity below to find out more about our volunteer opportunities.
