May 8, 1928 – Frank Barth sells business to B. Millerbrend.

May 9, 1868 – Minnesota River – Carver- Big load- Largest load of wheat ever brought out of the Minnesota River leaves Carver by boat.

May 10, 1990 – Lake Minnetonka request could reroute Crow River.

May 11, 1989 – Jeanette Basile-new Postmaster sworn in Friday at Watertown.

May 12, 1916 – Violent windstorm and cloudburst fatal to one.

May 17, 1973 - WWI Soldier Monument is vandalized.

May 18, 1983 – Jamie Lura rescues his 12-year-old brother from drowning.

May 19, 1892 – F. Barnick taking down old Union Hotel where he will build a new home.

May 20, 1875 – Bevens Creek Post Office changed to East Union Post Office.

May 21, 1929 – Dahlgren Post Office discontinued.

May 22, 1975 – Violent storm paralyzes area.

May 23, 1895 – Johny Barthel moving to LaCrosse, Wisc.- Sold Chanhassen business to Jerry Cordell.

May 24, 1962 – Carolyn Domras(formerly of Watertown) married Larry Homen in Salinas, California

May 27, 1886 – Christian Barth is preparing his store for Confectionary business - Watertown.

May 28, 1937 – Chaska’s Indian Mounds may be opened soon.

May 29, 1898 – The Red Cross Society was organized in Chaska.

May 30, 1929 – Soldiers memorial will be dedicated. Will pay tribute to soldier dead.

May 31, 1979 – Construction of three New Germany Area bridges to begin.
